Need to Know

Newborn Goodness
Newborn photos are best if taken within the first 4-8 days after birth while baby is still extra sleepy and cooperative. Sessions take place in your home for convenience of baby and new parents. To obtain the best results try to have baby fed within 30 minutes of scheduled session time. Have baby dressed in only a diaper to avoid disturbing them by undressing. We will shoot in the area with best lighting in your home. Have any props you would like to use available. It is also a good idea to have the nursery "picked up" in case we want to shoot any photos there. If tolerable it sometimes helps to have the room a little warmer than usual to keep baby comfortable. With cooperative weather, outdoor pictures are also an option. We will take breaks as needed for feedings, changings, and such. As a new mom myself, I understand the importance of keeping baby happy. To achieve the sweet poses that you hope for patience is often needed. Assistance may be needed to help hold certain poses until the shot can be achieved. I am willing to work through fussiness, spit up, and other mishaps to achieve the best shot. These sessions usually last at least 2 hours with necessary breaks. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
